To Create a New Component Class

The following procedure describes how to create a new component class using the Component Manager.

Open the Component Manager.
Click New Class to open the New Class dialog.
Enter the new Component Class Name.
Enter the Display Label for the new component.
Enter a Description for the component.
Select a Target Schema from the list to store the new class.
Select a Source Schema from the list. This populates the Component Base Class section.
Select a Component Base Class to use as a template for the new class.
Click OK to add the new class. A message displays prompting you to confirm the changes to the target schema.
Click Yes to return to the Component Manager.
